BS Civil Engineering (BSCE)

The Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Lahore will provide a sound foundation in Mathematics, Science and Computation skills to solve engineering problems in the areas of Fluid, Mechanics, Geotechnical and Structural Engineering. The curriculum is designed to facilitate the students to develop their capabilities by using modern techniques and apply to solve engineering problems and utilize them in the construction projects of the country.

The main objectives of teaching civil engineering programs at graduate level are to:

1. Impart state-of-the-art knowledge to the student in the field of Civil Engineering and produce competent civil engineers who will play a vital role in national development.

2. Provide critical learning for a broad function in various areas of Civil Engineering, including structural, environmental, geotechnical, water resources, transportation engineering and construction management.

3. Make them aware of the advancement of engineering knowledge in the developed countries so that they may keep themselves abreast with such developments.

4. Impress upon them the spirit of discipline, teach them the code of ethics of the engineering profession and impress upon them to follow it during their practical life.

5. Prepare graduate engineers who are competitive in both national and international market by inculcating engineering and managerial skills.
