Department of Mechanical Engineering

The department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Lahore will provide a solid foundation in Mathematics, Science and computational skills to solve engineering problems in vast area such as thermo fluids, manufacturing system and mechanical design. The curriculum includes analytical tolls, creative thought, communication skills and their applications to solve the engineering problems of a real world for successful career and lifelong learning.

Well experienced qualified and highly qualified faculty members will provide quality education re-phrase and prepare the student to achieve the following objectives in the Mechanical Engineering program.

1- An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.

2- An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.

3- An ability to identify , formulate, and solve engineering problems.

4- An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.

5- An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practices.

6- An ability to communicate effectively and understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and social context.

Programme Description:

Mechanical Engineering Department at The University Of Lahore emphasizes in international combustion Engines, Measurement & Instrumentation, Power plants and Control Engineering. It offers student an opportunity to study in a wide variety of subjects with a particular training.


Eligibility Criteria:
The minimum qualification for admission to the Mechanical Engineering programme is Intermediate with Pre-Engineering or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate marks.
