The foundation of the University of Lahore was laid when its mother campus was established at Islamabad in Mar, 1998.Eversince, the University has perpetually grown in size and the quality of education and it has developed as a leading University both in public and private sectors. The Islamabad Campus is envisioned to have the faculty of Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Management Sciences and IT and Computer Sciences. The Faculty of Management Sciences and IT & Computer Sciences shall continue to operate from the old Campus in the Blue Area Islamabad, whereas, the faculty of Engineering and Pharmacy has been shifted to the New Campus. The New Campus which has been newly built is fully ready and functional.

The multi- disciplinary new and old Campuses at Islamabad offer under graduate and post graduate programs in its faculties.

The Old Campus is situated at a prime location at the Jinnah Avenue, Blue Area Islamabad near Parliament House. It is easily accessible by all modes of the public transport. The New Campus is located at the confluence of the city of Islamabad and the Defense Housing Scheme at the Japan Road in a scenic environment. The travelling time from the Islamabad Airport to the New Campus is 20 minutes
