
The University College of Medicine was established in 2001 to produce well-trained doctors for the community. It was recognized by Pakistan Medical Dental Council and the Government of Pakistan in 2007. Further its name is including in the directory of the international medical schools maintained by the Education Commission fro Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) USA. The college has produced 266 doctors in three annual batches, who are serving private and public sector hospitals across the country.
The aim of the college is to produce doctors who are abreast of modern scientific advancements, and at the same time aware of the special medical and social needs of the community in the Pakistani setting.
A day to mark solidarity with the palastine cause was celebrated on 27th may, 2011 attended by the palestine embassador.
