UOL student qualifies for World Chess Olympiad

Following her outstanding skill-display in the Women’s Chess Championship 2018 at Karachi between July 14 and 19, 2018, Tooba Farooq, a University of Lahore student of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) advanced for the World Chess Olympiad in Georgia this year. Together with teammates; Anum Amjad (Mass Comm) and Arfa Tareen (Graduate), the trio vied in CLASSIC and BILTZ competitions. While Tooba emerged third-overall best in Classic, Amjad finished in similar position in Biltz.

With professional supervision and guidance of their coach, Mr. Muhammad Zahid, UOL stars have ably excelled at the national stage and are now challenging at the global level.
