UOL-IMBB signs MoU with College of Life Sciences, Northwest A & F University, China
The University of Lahore, Pakistan under its Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB) signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the College of Life Sciences, Northwest A & F University, China on October 4, 2018 aimed at promoting scholarly links and scientific collaborative projects that are of mutual interest to both institutions. The main research themes upon which both parties agreed were; studies on climate change and environmental extremes on different plants such as crops, wheat, cotton, canola etc.; use of proteins for human health as medicine; food safety and security and malnutrition.

Chairman BoG, Mr. Awais Raoof and Prof. Dr. Lixin Zhang (Project Principle Investigator) signed the MoU on behalf of UOL, Pakistan and College of Life Sciences, China respectively. Prof. Dr. Arif Malik, a renowned researcher from IMBB was designated as focal person for this MoU at UOL.
Still under this initiative, the two institutions will collaborate in teaching, long and short term staff and student exchange programs, training packages for postgraduates and early career researchers in the said areas, and exchange of research works in terms of publications and related information.

Both institutions also agreed to jointly finance seminars, workshops, conferences and research programs and share the authorship regarding the publications and patents of research work where necessary.
