College of Dentistry holds symposium on Guided Bone Regeneration in Implant Patients
The University College of Dentistry (UCD) organized a symposium on Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) in Implant patients on January 3, 2019 with the aim to demonstrate house surgeons, post graduates, general practitioners and faculty members the new techniques of bone regeneration in implant patients and vertical ridge augmentation.

Dr. Asrar Ahmed, a Surgical and Restorative Dental Implantologist in the Oral & Maxillofacial surgery department of East Sussex Healthcare NHS trust in Eastbourne, was the key speaker of the symposium. He also runs a private dental clinic in Brighton as a Dental Implantologist. 

Selected House surgeons, private practitioners, academicians and dental surgeons from other academic and health institutions were the participants of this educative forum. The Dean of UCD, Prof. Moghees A Baig and MS University Dental Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Aslam also addressed this symposium. Dr. Salman Ashraf, the HoD Operative and Restorative Dentistry, University Dental Hospital, moderated the symposium.

The symposium ended on enthusiastic and inquisitive discussions followed by an appreciation certificate to Dr. Asrar. The University administration thanked the event organizing committee and appreciated all the participants.
