200 Young Corporates, 2,000 Alumni meet at Homecoming Dinner
In the evening of the 9th Convocation day, February 26, 2019, the University of Lahore organized yet another splendid Alumni Homecoming Dinner at Lahore Defence Road Campus. The interactive and cool event aimed at building a “Stronger Alumni Body”. The event was also meant to reflect on the University’s vision and appreciate out of class learning.
A total of 2,000 alumni from more than 10 different UOL departments along with their supervisors participated and shared their professional expertise with the graduates of the 9th Convocation. UOL Chairman BoG, Mr. Awais Raoof, Deputy Chairman, Mr. Uzair Raoof, Pro-Rector Academics, Mr. Nasir Mehmood, Director OSA, Mrs. Ammara Awais, other senior managers, academic and non-academic staff were also in attendance. The accomplished alumni shared professional expertise with the graduates of the 9th Convocation in a freely interactive jovial mood. 
After the opening remarks of Mr. Saqib Azmat, the Director Career Services & Corporate Linkages) the Pro-Rector Social Sciences, Ms. Wajeeha Raoof congratulated the graduates upon their achievements and shared words of wisdom with them. She said while referring to the alumni: “The doors of UOL will always remain open for you”. Alumni card launching ceremony was also held to provide future identity to all UOL’s graduate.
A meet-up of 200 Corporates made the evening more interesting due to their salient discussion on “What are the key qualities which can strengthen Corporate Linkages”. Some of the young corporates were Mr. Sammad Hussain (CEO, High Speed Automation); Mr. Muhammad Abbas (CEO, Web Sketchers); Mr. Hamza Khalid (CEO, Travel & Tours); Mr. Arslan Ahmad (CEO, Tune.pk); Mr. Sayed Hassan Abbas (CEO Careem); Mr. Sayad Hassan Abbas (CEO Careem); Zeshan Bhutta (CEO Mapleleaf); Mr Adeel Makdoomi (Urban Sourcing); Mr. Faisal Akbar Awan (CEO, Max-Foster); and Mr. Hassan Sahi (CEO, JBA. 
The UOL Music Society entertained the audience with melodic musical performances followed by Cultural dance by the international students.
