The university has developed and applied through Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), an effective self-assessment and Internal Quality Assurance System (IQA) for the purpose of realization of institutional mission & goals, compliance with external assessments & quality assurance standards and integrating the assessment results for institutional quality enhancement. 


The broader process of self-assessment of the university that is being carried is as under:

1- QEC initiates the self-assessment process
2- Departments form Program Team (PT) members for preparing SAR.
3- Departments submit SARs to QEC through respective offices of HOD/Dean. 
4- QEC reviews the reports within one month; in case of incomplete SARs, QEC sends the reports back to the PT members of relevant department.
5- Rector UOL/Pro-Rector Academics forms Assessment Teams (AT) in consultation with the concerned Dean based on the recommendations the QEC.
6- QEC plans and schedules ATs visit in coordination with the relevant departments.
7- ATs conduct assessments and present findings.
8- QEC submits executive summary to Pro-Rector Academics/Rector UOL.
9- HODs prepare and submit implementation plan to the QEC based on AT findings.
10- QEC follows up of the implementation plan to ensure implementation in letter and spirit.
